Day 16 - Carb Overload - well, not really . . . .

Weigh In - Total Down 7.1 lbs.  (-0.1 from yesterday)
Now let me be honest, I had a fairly late weigh-in today, and I kinda waited because the early morning weight in was a little higher.  :-)  So this weigh-in was around 9:30am, even though I woke up a little after 7.  BUT the streak is alive - down every day, at least .1 pounds. 


Based on what happened today, I will title today's meals: CARB OVERLOAD!  Now the funny part about it is that it's not really a carb overload.  It's just that I have been doing a little better lately about not having bread every meal, pasta or pizza every day, etc.  But today - 3 for 3.  And I'm ok with it because I have shown an effort to not do it.

Breakfast - Today, I went back to the ol' breakfast sandwich.  2 egg whites, 1 whole egg - scrambled.  3 turkey sausage links and an everything bagel thin.  The under 300 calorie home made breakfast sandwich that still takes amazing!  Also had some Trop 50 OJ, which I'm really starting to enjoy again.       1 for 1!

Lunch - I had one more piece of chicken breast marinading in the Guy Fieri BBQ sauce, so I chopped it up and made a BBQ chicken sandwich on 12 grain bread.   High Calorie but high fiber bread.  Hearty slices for sure.  This was delicious.  (pressed in the George Foreman Grill for extra toasting)     2 for 2!!

Snacking - I had a pack of fruit snacks, a frozen minute maid lemonade ice and 2 pieces of cheese throughout the afternoon.  Still not in the habit of eating the apples, grapes, strawberries I bought.  This is proving to be the hardest change - better snacking. I'll get there. 

Dinner - Tonight we had macaroni with Meat sauce.  The meat sauce was made with the rest of the pizza sauce I had from yesterday and lean ground turkey.  This is a delicious, easy and fairly cheap meal to make.  I realized that we barely had any meat left in the house, so we didn't have a choice but to use the ground turkey and we were limited in our options because I am out of some of the key ingredients to other things like fajitas, stuffed peppers, etc.  So we went with macaroni and I'm not sorry about it!     3 for 3!!!


Snacking - In light of the big pasta dinner, I did not snack at all later in the evening.  Hoping to not have to wait too long tomorrow morning to weight in. :-)
