Day 4 - End of a long/short week

Starting weight - 234.5 (Down 8.8 lbs since New Year's Day)

So far so good!  Going to hit double digits soon and to be honest, I really don't think I'm starving myself.  I'm just eating like a normal human should.  I do feel hungry at times and the water is kind of bland, but I REALLY think it's helping.  3 days in and I have finished the gallon all 3 times.

Today, I am out of gallons, so I had to get creative.  I dumped a bunch of bottles of water into the gallon jug.  That worked out, I finished again! In fact, I was doing so well by 1pm, I had to put the water down and save some for later.

On another note, who else felt that for a 3 day week, it was SOOOOO long?  I mean, coming back for the new year, right from the first day, we have pit orchestra after school until 5:30.  Then Thursday is pit and then jazz band at night, plus I felt kinda sick that day.  And Friday I went home at a normal hour, but coming off a long break - this week felt really long.  Maybe it's because of my strict NO WORK policy over the break.  I really did NOTHING over the break.  It was nice! :-)

Breakfast - Started the day off with a peanut butter sandwich and some Trop 50.   Needed something different than the cheerios, plus I'm pretty much out of milk.  Kristyn said (and she was right . . .) that she bought the small milk since she figured I would not drink it  -  which is what happens almost EVERY time.  But this time, I actually used it!  :-)  Anyway, this was a tasty change.

Mid- Morning Snack - Granola bar held me over until lunch.  Had this between 3rd and 4th period (around 10:10am)

Lunch - I forgot to take a photo.  ARGH.  I had more of the balsamic crock pot chicken from Thursday's dinner.  This time, I had 2 pieces.  Approximated at 400 calories for the lunch.  Good stuff and VERY tasty. Compliments to the chef!!!

Sugary snack - When I got home, I had one thing I had to do.  Get some sugar in me!  I got myself a big cup from the refrigerator and went to town with it!  Actually, I did it in 4 bites, which for me is a really slow version of eating a big cup.  I can usually do it in 2, sometimes 3 if I'm being patient.  :-)  There is a TON of candy and chocolate in this house from the holidays - gifts/etc.  I will eat it all, I really will. There is nothing wrong with 1-2 small pieces of chocolate on a daily basis if you are taking care of yourself with all of your other choices.  And hey, if I keep losing weight while allowing myself to have some chocolate, I'm-a keep doin' it!

Dinner Time = Sloppy Me!
90 minutes in the oven was PERFECT for these baked potatoes.  In fact, I think my mom would even have like this potato, and she is very picky about the consistency of her potato!  Kristyn made some ground beef and sauce to make into sloppy Joe and topped the potato with it.  Since i did so great with my water, we went with some diet orange soda as a treat for the night.  (And by "we" I mean "me.")  DELICIOUS!

Snacks - Running low on Sour Patch Kids ice pops, so I had to go to the basement for the frozen lemonades.  Had one of these today, Joey shared with me!  These are 70 calories and very refreshing.   I also had 2 strawberries and 1 Ferrero Rochet.  This was my night and it was right on.

Overall, I have to say I'm very happy with myself.  My weight is down, my food intake is down.  I can't say I'm reaping the benefits in terms of my energy level yet - I am still quite exhausted all the time.  I think those benefits will come in time.  BUT one other crazy thing is that I have been helping out the ol' credit card.  4 days into the new year, I have spent $0.00!!!  Have not taken out the credit card, have not' grabbed a dollar or even a penny to pay for anything.  Amazing how much money you can save when eating at home.  Of course, the groceries cost money, but we bought them in 2018, so technically I have not spent any money yet!  If this was me normally - New Year's Day we probably would have eaten home or something, but Wednesday, THursday + Friday - Dunkin/Red bull x2 = $15 for the morning.  Lunch at school x2 = $12 and one day at pizza = $9.  7-Eleven stop on the way home x3 = $15.  Dinner x3 would likely have been cooked one night, Pizza on THursday night $9, and we prob would have ordered Pad Thai Friday - $26 for both of us, so $13 for me.  So just in food, I would have spent $72 + 1 cooked meal in the past 3 days, and that is not even including what Kristyn would be getting.  I hope I can keep this up.  I need to get that credit card down!  :-)

See you tomorrow!
