Breakfast time: Breakfast of Champions! Cheerios and 2% milk. This is SOOOOOO much better than Dunkin! And I like it too! Tasty. I was going to cook, but instead I slept an extra 15 minutes.
I could not resist grabbing this pack of peanut butter crackers. 200 calories for the whole pack. Not bad. They go down like potato chips. :-)
Best thing about making Santa Fe Chicken and Rice is having it for leftovers the next day! I think this was likely in the 500 calorie range, based on what I ate last night.
So today was our first pit orchestra rehearsal. Pit is my favorite activity every year. We rehearse 2 days a week at first and eventually, every day later in February. The kids are real pros. They work their butts off and take some serious music and make it awesome. We pride ourselves on having a pit made up of mostly kids - predominantly HS, a few MS kids when appropriate. This year, we'll be hiring a trombone, violin and cello to make up for the parts that I could not get covered. We definitely have kids who could cover it, that's for sure. But we are a small school, so sometimes kids can't fit it into their schedule for one reason or another. I'm pretty proud of this group, year after year. We are doing Fiddler on the Roof this year and they had a great sightread of the first few tunes today.
Now with pit orchestra comes our Mid-Pit orchestra rehearsal snack. Today, I had the ol' Nature Valley Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter protein bar. SO GOOD and SO FILLING. And a good replacement for the Slurpee and Heat Lamp of Death that I usually have!
Dinner Time: YUMMM!!!! MEAT LOAF! :-) It never gets old to say:

So I made the meat loaf with the 3 pack of chopped meats, bread crumbs, milk, an onion, an egg, salt, pepper and . . . . I think that's it. On top of that, we cooked up some zucchini and carrots. (zucchini was MY idea, can you believe it?) Kristyn seasoned that with salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. YUM!!!!!!!! I calculated this meat loaf at 2,200 calories and I cut it into 6 pieces, which means each one is about 370 calories. I had 2 pieces. Probably could have done 1 or 1.5, but this was down from last night's dinner, so I'm good with it. And maybe I won't snack later because of the large meal. Only real issue is that we didn't eat until almost 8:30pm, but that's par for the course if I have pit orchestra, I'm cooking and it's meat loaf - which takes an hour to cook!!!!! Worth the wait.
Since I made the gallon of water my bitch and was done with it when I got home from work at 7pm, it left me some room to have a gatorade. I had about 2/3 of a large bottle, so yes, I drank about 130 calories worth of gatorade and it was worth it. Jay says I need the electrolyes and some Gatorade is ok if I'm drinking a gallon of water per day, so I'll take advantage of that. Maybe I will drink a little less of it though, tomorrow. :-)
Snacking - well, when I was packing up the meat loaf, I definitely threw down another half of a piece because I could not stop myself. It was so good! :-) I also had 2 of the sour patch kids ice pops during commercial breaks of Law & Order. All in all, a good day for sure. And now 2 days of zero money spent! Today's credit card total: $0.00!!! WAHOO!!
See you tomorrow!
