Today seemed busy! I had my first music rehearsal for Marching Band at night and I spent most of the afternoon getting ready for it. I wish I could say i was getting ready musically, but it was mostly paperwork. Getting kids' summer schedules, preparing everything I had to print, creating my lesson plans for the section leader training session . . . . . and after it all, I still felt completely not ready to go when the kids got there tonight!
The good news about days like this is that there's no time to want to snack all day! So I did pretty well today with my food intake.
Breakfast - I had a home made breakfast sandwich today. 2 scrambled jumbo eggs, 3 turkey sausage links, wheat toast. It was a solid sandwich.
For Lunch, I had some leftover Pasta Fagioli. At this point, there's really no liquid at all, so it's more of a pasta dish than a soup-ish type of thing. And that's fine by me. I think next time though, less pasta and more veggies.
Snacks - I grabbed a handful of goldfish (this turned out to be 31 pieces, which is about 60% of a serving, which is 55 pieces.) We also discovered an incredible amount of ice pops/frozen bars/etc in our various freezers. As we continue to try to make room for frozen milk for the baby, it turns out that we need to make freezer space. I did my part today by having one outshine frozen fruit bar. These are REALLY good!!!
So I went to school around 3pm to get to the copy machine and get set for marching band. You KNOW I'm on a roll right now because I actually remembered to bring my leftovers for dinner. Packed another container of Pasta Fagioli for Dinner. Shoveled it down my throat in right before the 5:30 meeting started, and went on my merry way.
Snacks - When I got home, around 10pm, I was pretty hungry. I had some water to try to hold me over, but it didn't do the trick. I had another outshine frozen fruit bar but needed more. THis is my main fail for the day. I grabbed the container of rainbow sherbet and went to town. Definitely can not handle having a tub of ice cream and a spoon in front of me. I need to portion this stuff out because I'm an animal if I don't. So I overdid the sherbet a little bit, but I think not the worst thing in the world.
WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE: As of 7/6/23 - 7:30am, I am down another 1.7 pounds from yesterday, and a total of 8 pounds since my first weigh in on the morning of 7/2/23. Getting close to my first goal, which is to lose the stupid 13 pounds I gained since early April. So far, so good!
