Day 47 - Picking up the Treadmill!

Weigh-In - Down 16.1 total (-1.8 from yesterday)

Breakfast - 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg on white toast

Lunch - we went to Turtleback Zoo with Joey and my mom.  Had a great time.  We definitely needed to grab lunch while we were there.  This was a nice cafeteria for sure.  The problem for me usually is that there were these really nice looking paninis, but each of them had SOMETHING on them that I did not like, and they were pre-made, so there was no way to get it without the blue cheese or without the tomato or whatever.  I ended up grabbing a slice of pizza and some fries with a sprite.  In fact, I believe this is my first regular soda in 47 days.  It was ok.  I mean, I still have trouble paying 2 bucks for a bottle of water when I can get 40 for $3 in Costco, but I have to get over it!  Now for the pizza review - It was ok . . . . . not the best but certainly not the worst I've had.  it was very fluffy and at least it was hot.  It was corporate, frozen pizza.  Kinda reminded me of the pizza they rolled out at my school about 6 years ago.  I can't remember what it was called . . . . . . BIG DADDY PIZZA.   It was an upgrade for schools, but a downgrade in life.

Story of the day - leading up to dinner - so a Kristyn's friend's family is moving and they are working on doing some stuff to the house.  They are moving to a place with a really nice gym in the
complex so they are trying to get rid of their treadmill.  It's a REALLY nice treadmill.  So I checked it out and decided that we would take it.  So Now all I needed was a truck and 3 friends to get this thing outta there. After thinking about it for a minute, I realized how convenient it is to have many of my alumni living near Bergenfield - especially the lighting and audio crew alumni who are hard-ass workers!  So I contacted James Furrer, Sal Pellicone and Jack McCaffrey - offered them $20 each and dinner and boom . . . I had a treadmill.  Grabbed a truck from Home Depot (Which by the way, is a great deal if you ever need something moved quick.

It was NOT a smooth move.  Getting it out of the house was tricky, but I was very glad that I had them.  IN the end, they didn't even need me.  It was all them!

So I promised them dinner.  Offered pizza or burgers/dogs on the grill.  They chose pizza because they have heard me talking about Bruno's for ever!  This brings us to dinner.

Dinner - So we got a square pie - 1/2 meatballs and a plain pie.  I ended up having 3 slices.  2 square and 1 plain.  Not my best moment of the past 47 days.  And shocking because I don't really like pizza when it leaves the restaurant. It's just not the same.  But I knew that the kiddies were excited because they were coming to their old teacher's house, so I didn't want to rush them out - so I brought the pizza home while they put the treadmill back together.

Snacking - I think I had a "Skinny Cow" ice cream sandwich

Moral of the Story - we now have a treadmill - an item that we could never have really spent our money on because it's too expensive.  But our patience paid off and one dropped in our laps!  I'm hoping that this will help me get on the exercising train a little bit more. We just need to set the basement up with some toys for Joey to play in, high chairs for meals and other options so we can do our workouts!
