Breakfast - 2 slices of yellow american cheese. Morning just seems to get away from me often.
Lunch - peanut butter sandwich - One of my favorite things that was reintroduced to my eating habits with this diet was a good ol' fashioned Peanut Butter Sandwich!
Dinner - chicken burrito bowl from Costco - so this may not sound like the best option I could have made, but it really was! I had a busy day here. Taught a lesson at 11am at home followed by a trip to Verizon since my phone doesn't charge anymore. Then had to go to school for a lesson from 210-3:30, then 3:30-4:10, then an alum came by with a gift for Giuliana so we hung for a bit, then section leader meeting from 5:30-6:45 and then marching band sectionals from 7-8:30. So squeezing dinner in was not going to be easy. I needed to grab something that needed no prep or anything because I was running late. This burrito bowl . . . . . . the best part of it is the portion control. It's not a HUGE meal but it definitely fills me up good. I will continue to have these (once in a while) instead of going out to eat while at work.
Late night failure - ok, so tonight I had a classic food meltdown. I was trying to get my phone taken care of with Asurion and get it replaced because it just doesn't charge anymore and is almost worthless, in spite of not being that old. So I get on the phone with Asurion after the Verizon Authorized Retailer told me to call them. THey could not be less helpful. They decided that they could not help me but this was their answer: "unfortunately your claim is being denied due to suspicious activity on your account." I asked what that activity was and they said "This is proprietary information and we can not share it with you." When asking what the heck it meant that there was suspicious activity, all they would say is that "after reviewing your claim, we have decided that it does not fit within the requirements to be considered for replacement." BUT they would not tell me WHY, besides the suspicious activity line! This went in circles for 20 minutes and I ended up losing my cool, kinda yelling at the guy on the phone and hanging up on him right when I was conveniently stopped at a red light in front of 7-Eleven.
I kinda stormed in there, headed toward the slurpees, but stopped and grabbed a glazed donut on the way (finishing it before I even paid) and got my slurpee and followed it up with a taquito from the heat lamp of death. Now this combination used to be a daily occurrence for me on the way home from work and I have gotten out of that habit, but I definitely and a stress and anger eater and this was a weak moment that I did not beat. It was sort of like when Will Ferrell blacked out during "Old School" and won the debate - then he woke up and it was over and he was like "what happened?"
This was a tough one. THe whole rest of the drive home, I was thinking to myself "Oh man, now I have to tell everyone about this!" And it crossed my mind to just leave it out or not blog that day but I think the thing that will keep most people interested and reading is the fact that I'm being real and honest. So I could not leave it out. I am a day late posting it, but it's all out there for you.
By the way, part 2 of the cell phone saga coming in the day 46 post. ;)
